McKayla Rose Maroney - also named 'Mackair Maroney' is an incredibly well-known American gymnast. At her participation in the Summer Olympic Games 2012, she was awarded gold for her team as well as an individual bronze medal. In the beginning she was influenced to take up gymnastics by her sports-loving parents. She specialized in the vault and is the only one who has defended one gold medal in this vault, a competition she initially won in the 2011 World Championship and later was awarded the title in the 2013 Championship.
